Many DYNICE ropes are made with Dyneema®, the strongest man-made fibre available. This delivers major weight savings without compromising strength. For example, a 56 mm steel wire rope with a 38-ton WLL weighs around 41 tons on deck. A 56 mm DYNICE Deep-sea rope with the same WLL weighs only about 6 tons. The reduced weight makes handling safer, faster and far easier for crews.
